I Can Do Hard Things, LLC, a Florida limited liability company (“ICDHT,” “we,” “us”).
This Privacy Policy explains how I Can Do Hard Things LLC (“ICDHT,” “we,” “us”) handles information in the ICDHT iOS app.
Health and fitness information is covered by a separate document, the ICDHT Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, as required by applicable state regulations. Please read both. That policy is a separate document at https://icandohardthings.fit/health-data-privacy.html, linked on its own from the site footer, the App Store listing, and inside the app.
ICDHT has no servers, no backend, and no user accounts. Everything you enter and everything the app records stays locally on your iPhone. We cannot see your data because it is never sent to us. We do not sell your data, do not show ads, and do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
Your data leaves your device only when you choose to send it: connecting Strava, authorizing Apple Health, or searching for a race.
All of this is stored in the app’s local storage (AsyncStorage) on your device. It is not transmitted to ICDHT, and no ICDHT server exists to receive it.
Heart rate is planned, not yet collected. I Can Do Hard Things LLC will add heart rate as a collected category, and obtain any renewed authorization, before the Zone 2 feature ships.
The health, fitness, and precise-location categories listed above are also Consumer Health Data. Those categories are governed by the separate ICDHT Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
Do Not Track. I Can Do Hard Things LLC does not track users across third-party websites or services over time, and does not respond to browser or platform Do Not Track signals, because the app performs no such tracking. No third party collects personally identifiable information through the app across sites over time.
| Service | What is sent | When | Their policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strava, Inc. | Import: runs you have recorded on Strava are read into the app so they can be matched to your plan. Export (planned, not yet built): you enable it, runs you log inside ICDHT (GPS, manual, or treadmill) — distance, duration, pace, route/coordinates, elevation — are sent to your Strava account. | Import happens automatically once you connect Strava. When export ships, it happens, or if you turn on automatic export in settings. | Strava Privacy Policy |
| Apple, Inc. (HealthKit) | Workout records — distance, duration, pace, calories | Only where you have authorized Health access. HealthKit is an on-device framework; data stays under your control on your device. | Apple Privacy Policy |
| Open-Elevation | Latitude and longitude only, with no name, account, or identifier attached | When elevation or terrain is looked up for a race location or run route | Open-Elevation |
| RunSignup | Your race search query, such as a race name or location. No personal or health data is sent. | When you search for a race | RunSignup Privacy Policy |
Once your data reaches Strava or Apple Health, it is governed by that company’s privacy policy rather than this one.
Active contact for each service: Strava, Inc. (https://support.strava.com), Apple, Inc. (https://privacy.apple.com), Open-Elevation (https://github.com/Jorl17/open-elevation), and RunSignup (info@runsignup.com).
Apple App Store. ICDHT is free to download and includes a 7-day free trial. After the trial, continued use of the core app requires a one-time $9.99 purchase. A separate, optional Pro subscription may be offered for additional features. All purchases are transactions between you and Apple, which handles payment and provides us only aggregate, anonymized sales information. We never receive your payment details. Trial eligibility is tracked through a purchase record linked to your Apple ID, a $0 non-consumable Trial purchase, so reinstalling does not grant a second trial on the same account. This is account-identity information, not health data.
ICDHT requests location permission so it can track your runs. Location is collected only while a run is active, including in the background while a run is in progress, so that your route continues recording when your screen is off. Location data is stored on your device and is sent off-device only to Strava (if you sync a run) and, as bare coordinates with no identifier, to Open-Elevation for terrain lookups.
You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → ICDHT. Revoking it stops all location collection immediately; run tracking will no longer function.
Calendar. If you export your training plan to your device's calendar, ICDHT requests calendar permission and creates a dedicated "I Can Do Hard Things" calendar containing your workout entries. This uses Apple's on-device EventKit framework; calendar events are stored by iOS, not by ICDHT. Existing ICDHT events are deleted and re-created when your plan rebuilds so your calendar stays current. You can revoke calendar access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars → ICDHT, or remove the "I Can Do Hard Things" calendar directly in the Calendar app.
Your data is protected by your device’s own security — your passcode or Face ID, iOS file-level encryption, and the iOS application sandbox, which prevents other apps from reading ICDHT’s data. All communication with third-party services occurs over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Because ICDHT operates no servers and holds no copy of your data, there is no central database that could be breached.
Your data remains on your device for as long as you keep the app installed and choose to keep it. We retain nothing, because we receive nothing.
The App is for users 18 and older, or users 13 to 17 with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to the Terms of Service on their behalf. ICDHT is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, contact us at Support@icandohardthings.fit. Because all data is stored locally, deleting the app removes it entirely.
I Can Do Hard Things LLC honors the following rights to the extent the law applies to it. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising.
ICDHT does not sell personal information, does not share it for targeted advertising, and does not engage in profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. Because your information never leaves your device except as described in Section 4, you can exercise your access, correction, and deletion rights directly in the app at any time — no request to us is required.
If you would like to make a formal request, or you believe a right has not been honored, contact Support@icandohardthings.fit. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Washington residents: see the separate ICDHT Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for rights specific to consumer health data under RCW 19.373.
If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
